Joint statement: Welcoming European Court judgement on Poland's failure to protect same-sex couples married abroad. fidh.org The European Court of Human Rights delivered a judgment today condemning Poland for violating the right to respect the family life of same-sex couples, whose marriages abroad were not recognized. FIDH, who supported the case with a third-party intervention alongside three other organisations, welcomes this ruling, reminding Poland and all Council of Europe member states of their obligations to end such discrimination and align with European equality standards.
